"My parents met DJ Butch Barnes at a bridal fair at Silver Coast Winery on Ocean Isle. They came back telling me they met the perfect DJ – he was personable and professional, had an amazing music selection and even was willing to accommodate my mom’s polka requests for our Polish family members and my request to let our family members request a song when they RSVP’d. Everything they said about him was true and he exceeded our expectations. Butch and his wife Susan were so responsive and organized. Their pre-wedding questionnaire was super helpful to make sure we didn’t forget anything and ensure he had everything he needed. At the last minute, days before the wedding, we realized we needed more lighting at the venue and Butch was able to come early to the wedding with his lighting equipment to set up. Everything looked amazing and he really was the life of the party! He looked great in his tuxedo and even came on to the dance floor a few times to really get the crowd going! We had so many people dancing the entire time and they raved about how much fun they had the next day. We had our guests send in requests and there were so many slow songs that we asked Butch to scrap the list minus a few favorite songs. His list was so amazing I regretted sending him requests altogether. Butch made our wedding so much fun and I highly recommend him for future events! Everything was amazing! I would tell your brides to trust that you'll pick songs to get the party going and really read the crowd. Music was very important to me and I wish I had given less requests because you did such an amazing job!"

 I’m giving out high recommendations for another local business - DJ Butch Barnes!  Native North Carolinan & resident of Calabash, I have nothing but praises to sing! He truly out did himself at my event, leaving me & my guests having a ball to the music & his MC’ing. In the past, I’ve had issues w/DJs due to my eclectic music taste/playlists. DJ Butch had no problem, said ‘if I don’t have it, I’ll get it for the event!” At the event he checked in with me, was completely responsive to my requests/guidance/last minute changes - you name it! No fuss & no strange ‘you have to be kidding me’ look. In fact, at all times he had a smile and a ‘no problem’ attitude! DJ Butch’s MCing was awesome, had my guests up & moving around, where they needed to be & enjoying themselves. Music makes or breaks the event. An MC out of control is just as horrific as the wrong genre of music being played or no DJ at all. In my opinion, DJ Butch is the ‘knight in shining armor’ in the Calabash area when it comes to DJs for your event! (yes I know laying it on thick but I’ve had events ruined by DJs before.) I highly recommend DJ Butch Barnes & can’t sing enough praises about him.

 DJ Butch is Awesome!! So is Officiant Butch!!  We originally hired Butch to DJ our wedding and about two weeks before the wedding we hired him as our officiant.  Our original officiant (our friend) decided at the last minute that they were not going to be able to make it.  Thank god we had DJ Butch!  He was more than happy to help us out and everything was perfect!  Butch was very professional but still fun and energetic!  Our ceremony started late and he kept the reception organized and flowing well and included everything he could that we specially requested and still gave plenty of time for dancing.  It was relieving having Butch on our wedding day and I would definitely recommended hiring him for any event. You can tell he has been doing this for awhile and was an asset on our wedding day!  DJ/Officiant Butch is Fabulous!!
